Patricia Welty received her J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law. She has lived and worked in the DC area much of her life. Following her work as a paralegal specialist in the Wildlife Section of the Environment and Natural Resources Division of DOJ Patricia worked as a contract attorney in DC. She founded and currently runs a group called A Vegan Life, an organization dedicated to promoting awareness of the plight of animals raised for food and the benefits to our health and the environment of a plant--based diet.
